In honor of 2Lt. Peter "Pete" H. Burks of Celina, Texas who laid his life for his country on Nov. 14th 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq.
This web site is also dedicated to all of those who perished in Iraq and Afganistan. Let us remember them through words, pictures, funny times and let us carry their legacy forward.

In Memoriam
2Lt. Peter "Pete" H. Burks, born on April 10th in Atlanta, Georgia moved to Dallas, Texas in 1987. In 1999 graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas. in 2003 graduates from Texas A&M University. Works in France as a tour guide, travels numerous times to Slovenia, works with the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Desperados and FC Dallas, Frisco based soccer team. He then joins the Army.
In the fall of 2003 I received a phone call from Alan and he said his son (Pete) and a buddy were writing an article for Texas AM on college tailgating ( what an assignment, wish we all could have such a tough class) and could I hook them up with some tickets for the Alabama/Bulldawg game in Athens (which Pete (UGA) attended his freshman year.
